The Dual Approach: Service and Systemic Change

ELOI Ministries Inc. is committed to helping individuals, but we are equally committed to fixing the broken systems that create injustice. Being a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization means we have a mandate to actively challenge injustice, defend freedom, and ensure everyone in the US is treated fairly. Since 2021, we have been working to make the USA a fairer, more equal place.

We understand that providing a safe place for an immigrant is essential, but campaigning against policies that unjustly detain them is equally crucial.

Policy Experts and Campaigners

Our strength lies in our combination of on-the-ground experience and policy expertise. We are not just service providers; we are campaigners and policy experts who work together to protect rights and hold the powerful to account. This work is critical to our Access to Justice pillar:

  • Challenging Unjust Policies: We actively advocate against practices and policies that perpetuate inequality and trauma, particularly against New Americans.
  • Defending Freedoms: We stand as a line of defense for human rights, ensuring that legal and constitutional protections are afforded to all, regardless of immigration status.
  • Strengthening Quality of Interventions: We collaborate with other partners to improve standards and inclusiveness in program monitoring and strategy development, ensuring that justice systems are fair and equitable.

Our role is to ensure that the powerful are held accountable, allowing our beneficiaries—New Americans and recovering youth—a real chance to thrive without the systemic barriers that currently impede their progress.
