Defending Dignity: The Fight for Justice for New Americans

The journey to the United States is often one of hope, but for many “New Americans,” the reality upon arrival is anything but welcoming.

In our “Featured Article,” we note a painful truth: “When they arrive in the US, those who decide to legally apply for any immigration relief are mostly incarcerated in detention centres or jails/ prisons run by ICE and this is where renewed pain and trauma begins…”

This is an injustice ELOI Ministries Inc. cannot ignore. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our US mission is dedicated to challenging this system. We are campaigners and policy experts united to defend justice and human rights.

Our Three Pillars of Support

Our “Access to Justice” program is about more than just legal aid; it’s about restoring dignity.

  1. Advocacy: We work with partners to strengthen interventions, monitor programs, and hold the powerful to account. We campaign to make the US a fairer, more equal place for everyone.
  2. Challenging Injustice: We defend the freedom of New Americans caught in a system that often treats them with suspicion instead of compassion.
  3. Community Support (Host an Immigrant): The fight doesn’t end upon release. Our “Host an Immigrant” program is a practical, compassionate response. It provides a safe place to land for those released from detention or whose time at a shelter has expired. It’s a chance for our community to step up and show what true welcome looks like.

Our vision is “a world where New Americans thrive… with dignity and hope restored.” Join us in this critical fight.
