“Empowering New Americans, promoting mental health recovery, and fostering cultural exchange, to restore dignity and hope, for a brighter future.”
“A world where New Americans thrive, youth overcome addiction, and cultures connect, with dignity and hope restored.”
“Rooted in faith, we believe in the transformative power of love, justice, and restoration, reflecting God’s goodness in all we do.”
In order to achieve our objectives, ELOI Ministries has established a Fivefold core values above which are enlightened into nine core organizational values. For consistency, these are set out below:
These underpin the approach of all Organization Departments, management and support staff to their duties and responsibilities. All Organization personnel are expected to be truthful, reliable, and accountable for their actions.
Important principles that underlie ELOI Ministries’ human resource management and development objectives, policies and programs. ELOI Ministries is an equal opportunity employer that believes in implementing a responsive performance-based reward system to attract and retain highly competent and motivated personnel.
This entails getting concerned with and contributing to the resolution of problems of individual internal and external customers that may have either a direct or an indirect bearing on the smooth operation of the Organization.
Refers to ELOI Ministries’ conviction that the community/client constitutes the primary reason for the organization’s existence. ELOI Ministries’ approach to program design and delivery, therefore, seeks first to respond to and satisfy identified needs of the different community segments that are served by the Organization. ELOI Ministries will be guided by the principle of providing value-for-money to all its clients.
Key to the successful achievement of ELOI Ministries’ endeavors, right from the sharing of a common vision, mission, and objectives to the mutual support that individuals are expected to extend to one another to ensure cost effective implementation of planned activities.
This demands, inter alia, a thorough knowledge of one’s field of endeavor as well as demonstration of skill, high ethical standards, and respect for ELOI Ministries’ clients and other stakeholders.
Requires the Organization to design programs that meet the expectations of the community by taking into account constraints such as professional commitments, family commitments and distance.
The sustainability of this Organization is guaranteed on grounds that “knowledge is power” and that this knowledge can be transmitted from one person to another. Equipping the people with knowledge will reduce on ignorance first, and guarantee them with long life for sustainable development.
-ELOIM works closely together with other partners whose sole purpose/aim is to strengthen the quality of interventions, inclusiveness in program monitoring, policymaking, and strategy development plans that target and are relevant to men and women who have been unfairly incarcerated in immigration detention centers in the USA without access to free and affordable justice for several months or even years. We are encouraged by the willingness of other human rights individuals and agencies that support national human rights efforts. In a context in which all countries have pressing national concerns, we appreciate the continued commitment to civil rights operations in the USA and the global response necessary to prevent injustice.
One of the areas ELOI Ministries takes so seriously and very importantly is health. Under this program in the USA, we focus a lot much more on Mental health because it’s been identified as a very big issue within our community most especially among young people who are struggling with drugs and substance addiction and abuse respectively. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
In our efforts to broaden experiences and exposure, we encourage people to travel and discover, explore and experience what lay ahead of their geographical boundaries through impacting communities in these new places while gaining experience and developing each other skills. We believe that change of environment helps different individuals discover their abilities, appreciate differences and get new experiences that help in self-discovery and realization of renewed purpose for our lives, for a better future. We are committed to make volunteering for all people of all ages, abilities and walks of life. We are happy to answer any questions about local resources. the support our staff provides and the ability to tailor to individual needs capabilities. Please contact us for more information. ELOI Ministries Inc is a team of passionate people committed to defending and advocating for justice and human rights for New Americans, Mental Health through supporting full recovery and rehabilitation for youths formally addicted to drugs and other substance use as well as encouraging cultural exchanges through Volunteer Abroad Services.
We aim to restore the dignity and hope of those we serve by helping to provide humane conditions and services which help them to regain their dignity and hope. We work to restore and uphold trust, loyalty, sincerity, confidence, stability, faith, intelligence and to change the attitudes of the societies we serve.
ELOI Ministries Inc was founded and duly incorporated in 2021 under the laws of the state of Vermont -USA. We are a non-profit organization that works with New Americans to provide basic needs like shelter, food, clothing, medical care, guidance and counselling, orientation that aims to reduce or do away with cultural shock as well as acting as a bridge between new Americans and legal and social services readily available for them to explore.
We are also working hard to establish a shelter where immigrants with no families in the USA can lodge for a short period of time as they work out their next step in life. The growing numbers of immigrants to the United States calls for collective efforts to support each other since instabilities and wars have only just started unless the development of nuclear weapons and firearms trade in the world completely come to a halt which might be impossible now.
Now with the tragedy that has just happened in Afghanistan and is happening in Ukraine, we just need to work together as humans and be there for each other in such devastating times. He is a human rights activist and was also a political activist in Uganda. He was detained and tortured by authorities and had relatives killed and severely injured because of his activities which included encouraging Ugandans to vote. He came to the U.S. legally, seeking asylum. He was detained in Texas for more than 2 years, his diabetes went untreated, and he all but lost his eyesight.
Join a community of compassionate individuals who are dedicated to serving those in need and creating positive change. Your time and efforts will leave a lasting impact and create memories that will warm your heart forever.
We appreciate your interest in ELOI Ministries and our efforts to address the needs of young people who are struggling with drug addiction and new Americans who are being detained in immigration detention facilities.
