Many new Americans in Vermont carry these emotions silently, unsure of who to talk to or how to express what they are going through.
At ELOI USA, we believe no one should walk that road alone.
This is why we are introducing a new initiative: Chat with Steven, a safe, welcoming space for anyone who needs someone to talk to.
Behind every resettlement story is a human being trying to find their footing. Some are missing home. Some are overwhelmed by new systems and expectations. Some feel isolated, with no familiar faces to lean on. And some simply need a moment of kindness in a world that feels unfamiliar.

Steven brings years of lived experience, pastoral care, and deep empathy to these conversations. His own journey has taught him the power of listening, the importance of community, and the dignity of every human story.
