We believe that every person deserves to live with hope, justice, and dignity. Together, we can create a community where no one is left behind, and where love is expressed through practical, everyday acts of service.
There are people in our communities whose quiet strength has shaped the Vermont we know and love. They are the elders who worked long days, raised families, built neighborhoods, volunteered in churches, cared for others, and carried the weight of life with grace. Many of them now face physical, financial, or emotional challenges that make everyday tasks harder than they once were. Yet their dignity, wisdom, and contributions remain the foundation beneath our feet.
At ELOI USA, we believe that honoring our seniors is not an act of charity; it is an act of gratitude.
This year, we are launching a new initiative: Free Lawn Care for Seniors in Vermont. This project is our way of saying thank you to the elders who have poured so much into our communities. It is also a way of easing the burden for those who can no longer maintain their lawns due to age, disability, limited income, or health challenges.

A well-kept yard may seem like a small thing, but for many seniors it represents safety, pride, and peace of mind. Overgrown lawns can become overwhelming, and for some, even dangerous. By stepping in to help, we are offering more than lawn care, we are offering relief, companionship, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.
What This Program Represents
This initiative reflects the heart of ELOI USA:
Our volunteers will mow lawns, trim edges, and help maintain outdoor spaces so seniors can enjoy their homes without worry. Every visit is also an opportunity to check in, share a conversation, and remind our elders that they are valued members of our community.

Their stories, sacrifices, and resilience deserve to be honored not just in words but in the way we show up for them.
We invite neighbors, families, churches, and local partners to join us in this work. When we care for our seniors, we strengthen the entire community.

To every elder in Vermont who has carried the weight of life with courage:
We see you. We appreciate you. We are here for you.
This program is a small reflection of the gratitude we feel for all you have done, and continue to do, for our communities.
ELOI USA remains committed to building a Vermont where every person can live with hope, justice, and dignity. This new project is one more step toward that vision. Together, we can create a community where no one is left behind, and where love is expressed through practical, everyday acts of service.
